Front End Web Engineer
The job of the Front End Web Engineer is to own all aspects of the user interface of the website (which is quite large behind the scenes). Your job is to work with Designers and other developers to ensure the front end of the application looks absolutely pixel perfect to the designs. You'll have tons of input in the look and feel of the product and play a key roll in defining the team around you.
Things you'll do
- Turning designs into pixel perfect HTML5/CSS3 interfaces
- Building a UI with addictive interactions (make people want to click, close, message, etc)
- Building re-usable templates designed for developers to use with no friction
- Craft responsive site that scales up and down
- Work very closely with the designers, back-end and everyone else
- Help establish a great engineering culture
- Help change the way people get things done every day
- Push code (you can press the button)
About you
- Expert level HTML5 skills
- The ability to wow with CSS3
- JavaScript experience
- Love jQuery, love writing jQuery plugins
- Live in or around New York City and can make it into the office in Manhattan
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to work well on your own
A big plus if you have...
- A strong design background
- Photoshop experience
- Experience with JavaScript templating languages
- Experience using Python
- git and github experience
